The unique international venture by 9.9 School of Convergence

With the passage of time, Indian media in global context is surfacing out to be popular and in high demand. Exploiting such a stature of India, 9.9 School of Convergence takes on the full opportunity to call for an international programme for media students and in turn locating Indian mass media to a higher level. The school designed a course for 8 weeks, titled as the “Global Media and Communication Programme” which aims at giving international students a glimpse of Indian socio-cultural heritage.

The objectives of the program are enlisted below:

• Introduces Indian culture and society within the context of Delhi as a global city.
• Explores the history and future of Indian media and popular culture.
• Caters to students interested in pursuing a career in international
   media, development communication, and other areas of cultural production.
• Provides both a professional work experience and a comprehensive understanding
   of the transformation of international media industries.

Besides the carefully crafted structure of the course, the programme is further supplemented by an optional 2-weeks educational tour around India to provide better insights. The whole programme is to be conducted by highly skilled media professionals and world renowned faculties of the school and students will be trained to be prepared for real life experiences in the media world.

International students with satisfactory TOEFEL score or with an overall GPA of 2.75 or more are eligible to apply. Sophomores, juniors and seniors in all majors as well as recent graduates or final year candidates can also apply.
